The Walking Dead on the streets of the USA: Americans are increasingly using the “zombie drug”

In many American cities, especially in the West, some passersby on the streets can be confused with zombies. All this is due to the action of xylazine, a tranquilizer that is becoming extremely popular. The substance initially appeared in Philadelphia for veterinary use, then spread to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Xylazine was used to dilute heroin, but then traces of it began to be found in fentanyl and other drugs.

An overdose of xylazine can lead to ulcers on the body. Rotting wounds can lead to further amputation of limbs.
