An Employee of Lawyer Marina Shepelskaya is Accused of Fraud

In New York, a lawyer's assistant is facing allegations of fraud: she worked in the office of Marina Shepelskaya's immigration firm. Charges have been brought against 38-year-old Zoya Shamilova. According to the Brooklyn prosecutor's office, she worked for the Shepelsky Law Group (the office of lawyer Marina Shepelskaya) as a paralegal.

However, Shamilova, according to investigators, deceived clients. The investigation believes that Shamilova only received money from clients, but did not send any documents anywhere. Shamilova did not conduct any legal work for clients who were from Poland, Ukraine, Serbia, India and Kazakhstan, and did not file any petitions on their behalf with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

According to investigators, the damage from Shamilova’s activities is estimated at $38 thousand. She has been charged with 17 counts.
