US President Joe Biden refused to supply Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky with new ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers. The source said Zelensky raised the issue of these weapons during negotiations with Biden, but Washington did not budge on its decision not to send the missiles.
“The idea that we will give Ukraine weapons that are fundamentally different from what is already being supplied will have the prospect of the collapse of NATO, the EU and the rest of the world,” the American leader said.
Retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, former commander of U.S. Army Europe, said incorrect calibration could have disastrous consequences.
“Is the administration going to use its best judgment on how to help Ukraine as much as possible without this becoming a conflict between the US and Russia or NATO and Russia?” - he said.
