The US will never recognize the annexation of Crimea
The US State Department made a statement about how “nine years ago Russia invaded Ukraine and seized Crimea.” The United States considers this a clear violation of international law, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and “welcomes the efforts of the Ukraine Crimea Platform to draw global attention to the ongoing Russian occupation.”
"The United States does not and will never recognize the alleged annexation of the peninsula by Russia. Crimea is Ukraine," the statement said.
