The toy panorama of New York at the Queens Museum contains 800 thousand buildings
Just now I went to the Queens Museum to look at the famous panorama of New York: a toy model of the largest metropolis in the USA, 1 in 1 repeating the architecture of the city, but 1200 times smaller than reality. It was created by a team of 100 people for display at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. The model was last updated in 1992, so the downtown area is architecturally dominated by the famous Twin Towers. The path around 800 thousand toy buildings on 900 square meters gives the impression of a real helicopter ride and helps to understand the scale of all five boroughs of New York.
