Starting January 12, a new US immigration app will be available for those planning to cross the border with Mexico.

Almost immediately after US President Joe Biden's speech, USCIS officials announced that a new border crossing system would be in effect for immigrants starting January 12. The Biden Administration is launching a new border clearance process through the CBP ONE app for citizens of Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti and Venezuela.

Starting Jan. 12, immigrants can register for appointments with U.S. border officials through an app. After the interview, citizens of the listed countries will be able to receive a so-called humanitarian password for two years. However, citizens of these countries need to obtain documents at home. The main conditions for participation in the program: immigrants need to find a guarantor in the United States and undergo a security check. Only after this can they come to the states for two years and obtain a work permit.

In principle, everyone will be able to use the new application. But only residents of the countries listed above will receive a special status similar to the U4U program for Ukrainians.
