The most immigrant-friendly US states

Deciding which state to move to after winning the Green Card lottery, for example, should be based on more than just current immigration trends. Important criteria for choosing a place to live, as written above, include job opportunities, infrastructure, safety and cost of living.

In August 2022, WalletHub researchers ranked all 50 U.S. states in 52 categories, including economy, education, healthcare, median household income, homeownership, quality of life and safety.

Here are the most livable states in two categories:

1.The cheapest (Alabama, West Virginia, Indiana, Arkansas, Missouri)

2. Most attractive places to live (North Dakota, Utah, Montana, Washington, South Dakota)
