ACP program: discounts on Internet and laptops
In America, there is a federal program, The Affordable Connectivity Program, which helps low-income people pay for the home Internet they need for work, school, healthcare, and much more. The assistance program provides a discount of up to $30 per month on internet services for eligible families. Eligible families can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 on the purchase of a laptop or tablet.
You may be able to get a discount if you are already approved for SNAP or Medicaid. In order to take part in the program you must:
1.register on the program website ACP.gov
2.send a photo of your EBT card or other supporting documents to your personal account.
3.wait for approval within a few days. After approval, you need to contact your Internet service provider with the received letter.
For Internet 300 Mbit/s + router rental we pay $60 per month.
