The number of flights to New York will be reduced
Currently, the United States is seriously short of air traffic controllers. So the FAA decided to deal with this problem in its own way. In New York, the air traffic control center is 54% staffed. By comparison, the American average is 81%. So the FAA is asking Delta, Jet Blue, United and American Airlines to reduce flights to local New York City airports by 10% during the summer.
