Embassy guards obtained information for the CIA

A group of American lawyers and journalists filed a lawsuit in federal court against the CIA, its former head Michael Pompeo, a Spanish private security company and its director. It would seem how the defendants are connected... But to understand this, it is enough to mention that this company in 17-18 guarded the Ecuadorian embassy in the UK, where Julian Assange was at that time. The plaintiffs accuse the defendants of a real conspiracy: the CIA agreed with a security company that, in accordance with standard procedure, took visitors' electronic devices for safekeeping during visits to Assange. Then company employees secretly made copies of all the information on the devices and transferred everything to the CIA. The plaintiffs claim that hundreds of Americans who visited Assange at the embassy went through such a secret procedure. However, the Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution, which the defendants violated, protects American citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures. At the same time, Assange was visited by journalists, lawyers and doctors, the information on whose devices should be protected even more seriously. The lawsuit was filed back in August, but only a couple of days ago the plaintiffs were able to serve a copy of the lawsuit on Pompeo. This was taken while photographing after a dinner party in Ohio, which was attended by the former CIA director. Having waited his turn to be photographed, the man approached Pompeo, shook his hand, then handed him the claim and said the cherished “You are served”, after which he left.
