A man who was eaten alive by bedbugs was killed by his jailers, says pathologist
Last year, Lashawn Thompson died in the Fulton County (Georgia) jail after his relatives said his body was eaten alive by bed bugs. Pathologist Roger Mitchell confirmed this version and said that what happened was a murder by prison guards.
In addition, Thompson suffered from schizophrenia, he was dehydrated, malnourished, and kept in unsanitary conditions. Negligence and inhumanity on the part of the prison staff caused the death of the prisoner. They saw the conditions in which Thompson was being held, but did nothing about it. When the man was dying, no one bothered to give him CPR.
