Large-scale police operation in California: dozens of people who bought alcohol to minors were detained

The state police conducted an operation called “Tap on the Shoulder.” Officers identified and detained people who purchased alcoholic beverages for minors. To do this, the police stationed their agents at different points: schoolchildren near the shops asked to buy them alcohol, while emphasizing the fact that they were not yet being sold alcohol.

If a person agreed to the young agent’s request, the police arrested him. Such adults are prosecuted under the article “providing alcohol to a minor.” During the raid, 130 people were detained. The authorities will continue to carry out such operations to ensure that alcohol does not fall into the hands of children so easily.
