A hearing will be held today regarding an increase in fees for ambulance services.
In February, the FDNY proposed raising the rate for ambulances called via 911 to almost $1400. Tolls per mile to hospital can increase to $20. This is due to inflation. In addition, health workers need higher salaries. The FDNY is hosting a public hearing today so New Yorkers can have their say.
