Scientists have developed a technique that can successfully fight brain cancer
Researchers at Johns Hopkins University (Maryland) have developed a special gel based on drugs approved for the treatment of brain tumors. According to scientists, the gel can be used during operations: its consistency reliably fills all the cracks of the remaining tumor, destroying it forever. Doctors conducted an experiment on mice suffering from glioblastoma, the most common type of brain cancer. Surprisingly, as a result of the operation and the gel used, 100% of the mice survived. Now scientists will have to conduct several additional experiments in order to begin using the technique in humans in the future.
