Breast cancer has become younger: American doctors urge women to have regular mammograms

The US Health Commission recommends that women get mammograms as early as age 40, rather than waiting until age 50. Old recommendations need to be corrected immediately, doctors say. Early screening can prevent death from breast cancer, which is increasingly affecting young women. Doctors recommend diagnosis every two years. This is especially true for black women, who are statistically 40% more likely to die from breast cancer.
