Another gold rush hits California

Gold seekers have become active again across the state, most notably along the Sierra River. And the reason for this is the record amount of precipitation that fell in January. If previously gold miners had to dig into the ground to find precious metal, this year nature took care of them - flood waters washed away river sediments and made it easier to find gold.

Treasure Hunters Club President Tony Whatley said it was shaping up to be a great year. It is not known how much gold is left in California, but there is a lot of it - and this time nature is helping people extract as much of the metal as possible. According to historian Ed Allen, only 10-15% of the total gold deposits have been mined in California to date.
