The PS 188 gym is already being used as a temporary shelter for newly arrived migrants, as there is a dire shortage of housing. But this is far from over: two more schools in the area are expected to accommodate asylum seekers. Parents are angry because adult strangers around their children scare them. The plan to turn the school into a shelter was announced last Friday.
