A New Yorker walked the streets of the city with a knife.

The NYPD says a Bronx man was walking along Washington Avenue between East 163rd and 164th streets with a knife in his hands. According to eyewitnesses, the unknown person threatened to kill everyone who came into his hands. The police responded to the incident almost immediately. Law enforcement officers gave several warnings to the man to throw away the knife. However, he did not respond to the demands of the law enforcement officers. Then the police decided to open fire. One of the officers fired 3 times, wounding the suspect. He is now in the hospital. None of the police were injured.
