In the States they are going to imprison a blogger for 20 years
The crazy story of YouTube blogger Trevor Jacob and his video, the plot of which can be described in one word: a cool Pique or a plane crash with a happy ending. Not far from Los Angeles, the blogger was flying over the mountains, independently piloting an old single-engine plane. The engine stalls, the plane begins to lose altitude, and our hero has no choice but to abandon the ship and jump overboard. Fortunately, Trevor always carried a parachute with him, on which he landed in the bushes, and the single-engine aircraft epically fits into the mountains of California and crashes into rubbish. It seemed that the video was supposed to get millions of views and thousands of congratulations to the lucky one. But, as you can guess, this is where the story has just begun.
Many were surprised: not every pilot takes a parachute with him on flights (do you agree?), a dozen GOPRO cameras, and at the first incomprehensible situation he simply goes overboard. Federal authorities converted their doubts into a criminal case and, at the same time, asked: why didn’t Trevor even contact dispatchers? Well, or didn’t he even land the plane on the airfield, which was practically below him? Not to mention, where did the plane itself go? Trevor had difficulty selecting answers all this time, and recently admitted that it was obvious to any aviation enthusiast that the guy just wanted to convert the action into likes, views and bells.
Now he faces about 20 years in prison, with some of the most serious charges being obstruction of the investigation into the crash (Trevor took out the remains of the plane by helicopter and cut it into pieces, after which he disposed of it correctly) and deceiving the authorities.
