Feel Free soft drink contains a banned opioid substance

Sabotage occurred in the Californian community of healthy people. The trendy energizing soft drink Feel Free contains the banned opioid substance kratom. So says the class action lawsuit against the manufacturer Botanic Tonics.

Kratom is a plant whose effects are similar to morphine. It has a tonic property, improves mood, and relieves chronic pain for 3-4 hours. Kratom leaves were chewed by farmers to help them work more efficiently. It develops a strong dependence and withdrawal syndrome, like with heroin.

Fans of the drink realized that something was wrong when they literally put their TVs up for sale on Ebay, because they were spending thousands of dollars on the magic tonic every month, drinking several cans a day (60ml costs $12). Victims reported that at first they experienced incredible euphoria, which, as a result of prolonged use, gave way to psychosis. Someone was even hospitalized with symptoms of severe alcohol poisoning, but the alcohol content in the blood was zero. They demand financial compensation and a ban on advertising the drink. Kratom is not legally prohibited in the United States (only in some states and even districts), despite the fact that the FDA does not recommend its use. Scientists are still speculating how harmful it is. In the meantime, even a child can purchase a drink with a stronghold - no age restrictions are imposed on the sale. Moreover, the manufacturing company plans to partner with schools and colleges to help students cope with stress from studying.
