Supermarket without cash registers and sales assistants

Surely everyone knows Amazon. She has her own chain of supermarkets with a distinctive feature - they do not have cashiers. To enter the store of this chain, you need to generate a QR code in the Amazon application and scan it at the turnstile at the entrance. This way the system identifies you. Next, you take the basket and select the products you need. Amazon uses numerous video cameras and RFID sensors to determine which product you have added to your cart. Moreover, if you change your mind about buying a product and put it back on the shelf, the system will also understand this and remove it from your cart. When you leave the store, Amazon will automatically debit money from your bank card, which is linked to the application of the same name. There are practically no employees in the store, with the exception of those who put goods on the shelves, as well as a couple of consultants who can answer questions or help solve problems.

Now there are about 50 such stores throughout America and their number is constantly growing.

Of course, this is not a super new product, because the first Amazon Go stores began appearing back in 2016. But after the recent release of the ChatGPT chatbot, you understand that digital technologies are developing very quickly. And in a few years, such solutions may replace ordinary workers such as sellers, loaders, and couriers.
